Welcome to Richlandtown!

In the northeastern part of Richland Township, Upper Bucks County, is the village of Richlandtown Borough. The first frame house was built here in 1804, and the community soon grew to around 60 homes. Today there are over 400 homes in the Borough, with a population of about 1,300 residents. The main street through the village is Richlandtown Pike (Route 212), which connects Richlandtown with Quakertown, its larger neighbor to the southwest. North of Richlandtown, Route 212 splits off, continuing east until it reaches Easton Road (Route 611) on the Delaware River south of Riegelsville, while Richlandtown Pike heads north toward Hellertown in Northampton County.

US Census

The 2010 Census forms will be in the mail shortly. The US Census Bureau will hold office hours for a Questionnaire Assistance Center at Boro Hall beginning February 26 through April 19 to answer any questions from citizens regarding completion of the forms. At this time, hours will be 2p-5p, Monday through Friday.

Winter Maintenance

As Winter sets in, please remember these tips for snow removal:
• Move basketball nets far back away from the street and curb. Nets that hang our past the curb are still in the way of the tall plow trucks.
• Wait until the trucks are finished plowing to shovel your driveway.
• Shovel the snow to the right of your driveway, to avoid getting “plowed in” on the next pass.
• Park off the street whenever snow is in the forecast.
• Please remember to clear your own sidewalks of snow and ice. Many people walk along the sidewalks in the Borough to go to the bus stop, or for exercise. Please keep them clear for your community neighbors.
• Plow operators are doing a difficult job under adverse conditions. Please do your part to make their job easier, and to get the streets cleared faster.
