Welcome to Richlandtown!

In the northeastern part of Richland Township, Upper Bucks County, is the village of Richlandtown Borough. The first frame house was built here in 1804, and the community soon grew to around 60 homes. Today there are over 400 homes in the Borough, with a population of about 1,300 residents. The main street through the village is Richlandtown Pike (Route 212), which connects Richlandtown with Quakertown, its larger neighbor to the southwest. North of Richlandtown, Route 212 splits off, continuing east until it reaches Easton Road (Route 611) on the Delaware River south of Riegelsville, while Richlandtown Pike heads north toward Hellertown in Northampton County.

Community Events and News:

No Parking Notice 4.12.2011

Please be aware that there will be No Parking signs posted along many borough streets during the week of April 25-29. We will be having our storm drains cleaned followed by our annual street sweeping to remove cinders. It is essential that all vehicles observe the temporary signs and they will be strictly enforced. This service is essential to the life of our storm sewers and the "health" of our streets. Also, please sweep any cinders from your sidewalks into the street prior to this date so that they can be cleaned up appropriately. Thank you for your cooperation!

Benner Hall Informational Meeting1.27.2011

Please join us February 2nd at 6:30pm an informational session regarding the Park planned behind Benner Hall. Our engineer will be on hand to answer questions about the plan and we will have copies for viewing. There will also be opportunities to volunteer for upcoming fundraising events, or for building and planting when the park begins construction this Fall. Update 2/2/2011 MEETING WILL BE HELD AS SCHEDULED

Winter Reminder1.25.2011

Please remember to shovel your walkways for the safety of all of our residents. If you can't shovel yourself, please ask a friendly nieghbor to give you a hand. Also, be aware of snow emergency routes in your neighborhood and move your parked vehicles from these routes any time that it is snowing enough to require plowing. The less vehicles on the road, the easier and safer the job becomes for our plow trucks and everyone and everything around them.

Major Park Grant Awarded 10.15.2010

Richlandtown Borough and the Parks and Recreation Board are happy to announce that we have secured a $250,000 grant with DCNR to improve the Benner Hall Recreation Fields! This, coupled with the Bucks County grant funds put us on our way to providing new recreation facilities to the area residents.
Although the DCNR award means that a majority of the project is funded, the Parks and Recreation Board will continue their fundraising efforts in order to cover the gaps between the proposed projects and the awarded amounts. If you want to learn more about the project, events, or give a contribution to the fund, visit the Benner Hall website and click on the “Playground Project Progress” link where you can view pictures, a video, and download sponsorship forms.
